Just an update!

Hello to all of my wonderful scrappy friends! I hope this post finds you all well and crafting diligently! Since my last post the days have flown by as I have been doing a lot of organizing and donating throughout my house! We were blessed with a new grand baby November 5th which has been a complete joy! And I have moved and completely reorganized my Scrappy Heaven...finished just in time to join a couple swaps...FINALLY! Lol I have really missed my scrappy friends and the opportunity to meet and get to know new crafters!

I joined Mammatiffy(Tiffany Solario) on Facebook for her 14 Days of Secret Valentines Day Swap. We were asked to make at least 7 handmade items but were to send a total of 14 items to our secret partners to start opening February 1st-14th. This swap has been so much fun and perfect for me to throw myself into to get back into the awesome crafty world! I was honored to be able to put packages together for the lovely Stacey Mclellan, she is the5blessings on YouTube, and is a very talented and sweet crafter! I was also blessed to be receiving my wonderful goodies from Laura De La Rosa, she is zutterluv on YouTube, she is spoiling me rotten! She has been extremely generous and has touched my heart with every package!

What a great start to my goal to surround myself in crafty goodness...right?

Well with this swap coming to an end soon...I also joined Hope Simpsons "And the Oscar Goes To..." Tag Swap on The Scrap Beach! I have been playing and creating with glitz and glam and cannot wait to see what all of the other talented ladies come up with!

I should have a completed tag in the next day or so and plan on making that my next crafty post! So stick around...I'm back and will be posting my kreations often!

Transitioning

Well I must say it has been too long since I have written a blog post! A couple years ago I decided to return to work...it completely overtook me! After almost two years...I realized that I had lost or buried everything I loved to do which is pretty much anything crafty particularly scrapping! In the beginning I worked because I was having fun...when it wasn't fun anymore, I worked because I thought I needed to work to feel worth! It took me several months, but what I realized the best way to feel worth is to be needed by your family. My family needs me...to be there for them...to be happy...to love them, and to do what brings me joy! Sooo without wasting anymore time...I am here to say I am back!

My first step is to surround myself with all of the tools of the trade I have collected over the years...translation lol the hubby gave me my very own Kraft Heaven! Before I crafted in a corner of our family room...not alot of space but I was content but always looking for better storage to cover up my goodies when not in use. Now I have a 8x10 room filled with all of my crafty goodness! It has been two weeks since we started the move and I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel...fingers crossed it will be complete by the end of this weekend! (hubby is working nights so I will have lots of time to finish it up...lol) My goal to complete this first step is to post pictures of my organized, decorated, and complete Kraft Heaven to my blog!

TWS September Mini Swap For Kathryn

Hi guys...
Wow...this months mini gave me a run for my money but I did it! And I think it turned out beatifully! I tried to stay simple but elegant! I have taken detailed photos of each page layout...if you have any questions...please let me know...I would be happy to share any techniques or answer any questions! Nothing but chatter...

Well I have been gone for awhile from the blogging and crafting scene. In January I was asked to return to a job I had had previously. My original intention was woohoo craft cash...lol...but soon it became craft cash, vacation money, new car payment, so on and so forth! After about a week of getting settled into the position again I was informed that the business had been sold and we had a new owner! I was shocked that no one had told me previous to accepting the job but I put my happy hat on and trudged forward. Since the take over on February 2nd, the administration offices have been total chaos causing me total chaos at work and also when at home. In the last couple of weeks, I have decided that I NEED my crafting to keep me sane and I miss it terribly. I have been working on the same three projects since the beginning of June, only being able to actually craft here and there. On friday, my office was given the news that it should be smooth sailing from here forward! So yes I will still work full time but have much more free time for me and my NEED! I am hoping I will be able to put up some pics of the projects this week and a happy YouTube vid of the main one. So thanks for hanging out and there will be projects coming soon! I hope to post more often now that life is working itself out! In the words of Tigger...TTFN!

New Years Resolutions!

I have more resolutions then I can count this year...never really considered them a resolution but more of a goal! So on this New Years Day...my cup runith over with goals for the New Year! This is my year peeps...I'm happily married to a man that completes me....my family is happy and stable and I get to spend my free time doing what I love...scrapping! Its been many years since I have been able to be so completely honest and happy on New Years! I have five goals in my cup I will be sharing with you...these are the items I want to focus on the most and hope to stick with! Number 1...I want to build a savings and not live paycheck to paycheck! #2- Drink more water...even if its just a sip! #3- Cook more at home...you can only eat Ramen so much...lol! #4- Take more pics...always forgeting the camera when I really could get some cute pics! and #5- Of course...I want to lose weight and get healthy...this is my year ladies....I will succeed! My grandma used to tell me...being optimistic is half of the battle...here is to charging forward and taking on the other half of the battle and winning! Hope each and every one of you has a fantabulous 2010 and find the optimism to succeed and win your battle!

A Very Blessed Holiday!

As many of you know we celebrated Christmas Eve at our youngest daughters home...this was her tree and all of the gifts everyone brought. We had an amazing dinner made by our daughters Hanna & Amanda. Their first holiday meal with no help...we are so proud of their efforts...everything was deliscious! Everyone was so stuffed no one even ate pie until Christmas Day! It took us two and a half hours to open all of those presents as we open presents one person at a time...it is always so exciting to see the look on their faces when they get what they ask for! My gifts from my family were simply amazing...my children all surprised me with something that truly inspires me...I received a new webcam from my hubby...a gift card for HL from the 3 older kids and a HUGE fiskars matt from the youngest! I couldn't have asked for more but was surprised with the "NEW" Tim McGraw cd from my oldest son and santa brought me my favorite perfume! This Christmas has been a truly amazing and blessed holiday!

I wish all of you as much and more blessing as I have received and hope each of you bring in the New Year with optimism and joy!

Hi ladies...I thought this week I would share some of my favorite things that make me smile! One of my favorite animals is a bear! I recieved this pic in an email this week titled "I come in peace". The bear apparently would come into camp in the evening to play with the sled dogs...this picture made me smile because how special at this time of year for two animals to come together as friends. Who wouldn't want to snuggle with a Polar Bear?

This is my favorite ornament and has been for many years...my grandmother, who has passed on...made this for me the first year after I graduated high school. Hello Scrap Ladies...
Just having a relaxing day in the "Scrap Corner" today, chatting with Ms Dawn (http://craftingontheprairie.blogspot.com/) on google...lol! As I am sure you all have read the post on WW Scrap Divas...we have some exciting announcements coming in the next couple of weeks and some fun projects to show. I thought today I would just share a couple of first time uses I did last night. I recently bought a set of Smooch Spritz from Jenn at http://love.create.teach.blogspot..com/. I was so excited to receive them yesterday I just had to play with them. I created 3 thank you tags...just testing and trying different ideas...I love them...I know you will never be able to see the shimmer that this product provides in photos...but I thought I would share them anyway! I also used Perfect Pearls for the first time on the tags and was really surprised at how much I liked the application process of that product as well. These are two products that I will definately continue to use and have fun with. If you haven't tried them...I would highly recommend contacting Jenn to place an order! (she has really great prices on both these items) Hope you all have a fabulous Sunday and will post another project again soon!

Hi everyone...
I must apologize for neglecting my blog in the last couple of weeks...I have such a great ongoing adventure happening...I have over-extended myself a bit! But here I am just to say thank you...to each and every one of you for supporting my new adventure Wild West Scrap Divas. We have gotten such a great response to our giveaway that we hope to continue to bring fun activities to all of our followers! We have had alot of inquiries about what Wild West Scrap Divas is all about...I just want to say that our original plan was to put a blog together, share our ideas, and have fun giveaways! In the last few days, we have realized that this is truly an adventure and is growing to be so much more than we had anticipated. We have been contacted by many of you, requesting different techniques, tutorials and offering goodies for purchase! Dawn and I are taking every request into careful consideration...we are not sure yet what the future has in store but want all of you to know...ANYTHING is possible!
